So you are trying to decide between round and square tables. There are some things to consider. The space you have is one of the most important factors you should take into account. You can always place rectangular tables against the wall, and not lose a seat. You cannot do this with round. Squares can be combined to make a large table, but round cannot. Generally rectangular tables only go up to 30 x 60 in size, which seats 4 people. Round tables go up to 60" in diameter, and are 8 tops. Many restaurants use a combination of round and square tables. Using a combination of both allows you to use large round tables placed in the corners, while utilizing square table's space saving ability.
